SmallRig "HawkLock" Handheld Cage Kit with V-Mount Plate for Sony FX5 6779 is designed for the Sony FX5 to provide camera protection, accessory expansion, handheld support, and a mounting solution for a compact V-mount battery during extended shooting.
The V-mount battery plate mounts quickly and features a folding design for easier storage and portability. The cage features a modular design and includes a top mount plate and a U-shaped cage, supporting flexible setups for different shooting scenarios. Each module is secured at two or more points for stable, anti-twist mounting. Protective pads are built into camera contact points to help prevent scratches.
The ergonomic top handle offers a comfortable grip and mounts quickly through the NATO clamp. Its enclosed design helps prevent accidental drops during low-angle shooting. A dedicated HDMI cable clamp helps protect the port and maintain stable signal transmission during shooting. The wrist strap features an ergonomic design to reduce wrist strain and improve security during extended handheld shooting.
The cage also includes built-in 1/4"-20 threaded holes, 1/4"-20 locating holes, 3/8"-16 threaded holes, ARRI locating holes, a NATO rail, an Arca-type quick release plate, a QD socket, a wrist strap slot, and more for the attachment of a wide range of professional accessories.
A magnetic wrench is built into the cage for convenient access and easy assembly.
IMPORTANT
1. When using the top plate, confirmed compatible hot shoe accessories include the Sony ECM-B1M, ECM-M1, ECM-B10, and the DJI Mic 2 hot shoe adapter. Confirmed incompatible hot shoe accessories include the Sony ECM-W3, ECM-W3S, and ECM-W2BT microphones.
2. When using the Sony XLR handle (XLRH2B) or Sony EVF (DVFEL1B), the top plate must be removed first.
