SmallRig Retro Street Photography Cage for DJI OSMO Action 6 6640 reimagines an action camera with the look and feel of a classic rangefinder, bringing a distinctive retro style to street shooting. The two-tone aluminum alloy frame pairs with a detachable brown leather case and matching stitching, letting you switch between a full retro-inspired setup and a standalone metal cage depending on the shooting scenario.
The hinged top opens and closes like a film camera back, making installation quick and tool-free. The four-sided wraparound frame provides all-around protection for the camera body, while the foam-lined interior helps absorb minor impacts and reduce scratches. A guide-slot structure helps keep the installation stable without wobbling. The shutter button is physically extended outward and includes an accidental-press prevention switch, delivering a crisp tactile feel. Type-C charging remains accessible without removing the cage.
The right-side aluminum alloy grip structure and leather finger rest provide a steadier, more secure hold for street photography. In both standard and wide-angle shooting modes, the grip stays out of frame for a clean image. The cage weighs only 128.5g (4.5oz), and 180.0g (6.3oz) with the leather case, keeping the overall setup lightweight and easy to carry.
The spring-loaded cold shoe on top is compatible with the DJI Mic, optical viewfinders (SKU: 6127, 5873, 6172), and the video light (SKU: 5446C). The included magnetic bidirectional mount plate is built to the original mounting standard, attaches to the bottom of the cage, and features a built-in 1/4"-20 locating hole for accessories such as the selfie stick (SKU: 5463B). Strap slots on both sides work with the included shoulder strap to support either neck or shoulder carry for convenient everyday use.
IMPORTANT
1. Remove the battery compartment cover before installing the cage. The removed cover can be stored in the cover slot on the cage.
2. After removing the battery compartment cover, do not use the camera in humid, rainy, or other harsh environments, as water may enter the charging port.
